Updating the Firmware of the UDS10 or UDS100 from Lantronix **This utility will NOT update several at a time, you must update them individually** To accomplish this task you will need 3 pieces of software (Included on this CD): * DeviceInstaller 3.6 or higher * Microsoft .net Framework 1.1 (Downloadable from Microsoft.com, big download) * UDS10 or UDS100 Firmware Update install file 1. Install the .net framework and DeviceInstaller. 2. Go to Start > Programs > Lantronix > DeviceInstaller and click on DeviceInstaller 3. Make sure the UDS’s are connected to the network (all can be connected at the same time, the software should recognize them all) 4. Click the Search button. 5. Choose the device you want to update from the list provided. You will need to physically go to the UDS and check if it is a UDS 10 or UDS 100 and then use the appropriate updated firmware for step 8. 6. Click on the Upgrade button 7. Check "Use a specific installation file" 8. Next to the text box shown, click on the Browse button and choose the appropriate install file. (This is important! If you choose the install file meant for the UDS OTHER than the one you have, you will ruin the UDS once flashed) 8. Click Open 9. Click Next At this point, the software will attempt to write the firmware to the UDS and then reboot it. 10. When it is finished, click the Close button. 11. Select the device you just updated once more and click on the Telnet button 12. Make sure the number next to the Software Version reads "05.2" 13. Close the telnet session You're done!
